May 16, 2005 journal, my appreciation to the New York Biblical Art Museum on Broad Way at 61st. for showing coming home art from the University of Memphis opened on the 11th of May. Bible Society Art Museum located at 1865 Broadway at 61st Street, 10023. It was wonderful to be present last Tuesday night for the pre-opening and panel discussion of the coming home show from the University of Memphis. I was so happy and proud to be there. I drove down Broadway afterward all the way to ground zero and crossed over under the Hudson River via the Holland Tunnel and continued on I-78 to Bethlehem Pa. for a quick visit to Lehigh University art department. On Wednesday I returned to attend the official opening but encountered traffic on I-95 approaching the George Washington Bridge for hours. I was in the express lane which did not move and I could not get out of it until I reached the bridge. By this time the show was nearly over so I turned back to the south. I avoid the tunnels whenever possible because I feel safer on the bridge although in this case the Henry Hudson Parkway during this particular time caved in burying cars. I did not know what the problem was until I returned home and happen to hear it on Fox News. Although it was dated the 12th this seems to be the most likely reason for the huge traffic jam on Wednesday afternoon. I regret so much missing the second night although the first night would be a hard-act to duplicate. I appreciate Mobia and the Bible Society. Supplying Bibles to China has been one of my projects in the past and recently I have thought of purchasing second hand Bibles from the Goodwill stores often for $1 each to give away. The world distribution of Bibles is first and foremost for all Christian people.
